The order was a large shipment of electronics and the client needed it delivered quickly, so I had to ensure everything went as planned. From arranging shipping documents to dealing with customs regulations, there were many hurdles that needed to be crossed.
I remember this one time a client needed something urgently from China and we brought it over to America in about a week. In the end though, we made it happen and managed to deliver on time and without any issues. That project taught me a lot about international logistics and how careful planning can make all the difference.
My craziest experience importing was when I had to coordinate the delivery of a critical part for a production line coming all the way from India. Working with overseas suppliers and partners, as well as managing time-sensitive shipping requirements through different carriers, was definitely a challenge.
Whenever we have to work with suppliers in new regions. From researching and booking reliable transport to negotiating pricing and delivery terms with suppliers, it is quite an adventure!
That time when we our delivery was sent to Canada instead of Texas. We have no idea still how it happened or WHY it happened, but in the end, we paid a double fee for having it sent from Canada to Texas.
