Welcoming any feed back on my resume. I have been applying to supply chain roles (primarily planning and procurement) since May and have not received any interviews. Would love to hear any recommendations on what is missing and/or what kind of roles I should steer toward based on my experience. Thanks and happy holidays!

Too long please make the resume a maximum of one page. If an executive that has been in the industry for 15+ years can fit everything in one page then so can you. Get rid of the objective paragraph. No one cares about a security clearance unless applicable to the role. Bullets of skills are useless demonstrate them in your professional experience. Do your best to tailor the experience to each role you apply for. I did minor changes every time I applied for a role.

I’m also a veteran that transitioned from active duty to the private sector. Those are the lessons I learned from my mentors about my resume. Good luck and don’t get discouraged. Rejection is all part of the application process.

Is it really that difficult to get hired for a federal job? I was interviewed for a GS12 job but never heard back, they still didn’t hire anyone and I didn’t get a rejection. I applied for another GS07 job, was accepted, I took it, but I believe I can do better. I have a master’s and have extra graduate research experience. I am still applying to new jobs but I was told it is impossible to move up the grade level now. Everyone is telling me to stick with the government. What are your thoughts?

I'm in the final round of interviews for two internal positions - both vertical. One has FTE's (my first such experience) and the other a much broader scope vs my current role

I had interviewed externally for a role on par w the internal roles, at a smaller and less established company. They confirmed +20% was in their range

How do I push back on my company if they offer less than that, if I do want one of those roles? Without a pay scale, what is the best way to approach?

Today I got the job offer and they are offering me 54k. My current company is making me 50k with tons of benefits which is why I am asking for 60k.

Should I accept the offer or renegotiate?
