Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?

Normally, a few days. But it all depends on how desperate you are. Protocol dictates you really should not be starting anything until you’ve signed a contract and agreed on a rate and everything is squared away.

Anywhere from 1-5 days in advance typically but usually 1-2. Sometimes 0 days in advance.
I would just set expectations from the first touch base on how soon you can start.
That’s what I did. Telling them that XXX also wants to book me next week so pls send things over asap if you want me to start tmr - those kind of things. But for some reason recruiters always manage to delay responses and I had to decline a few projects bc of that
Wow lucky you! Are these remote or on site? Also are they paying your rate? I had to refuse one that wanted me on site a few days and wanted to pay junior rates 🤦🏼♀️
The ad agency gigs are usually 2-3 days on site, some tech and boutique places do remote. But all of them seem messy in terms of giving freelancers a heads up…
