Let them give you an offer first. Never say a number first, you might accidentally lowball yourself. Once they offer you something, ask for 5k more.
I know Zulu does 40k/year for their Employeeship (they have a whole schtick about not doing internships, if you haven’t you should look it up) but that’s for people with no experience whatsoever and they’re not a huge corporate beast. I’d ask for 45k and let agencies negotiate you down (or not, it’s your life).
^Agree. Also if you’re not Canadian, keep in mind taxes in Canada are much higher than here, and of course the dollar is worth less. I’m sure you’re already thinking about that but just in case. :)
I'd say it ranges from mid 30s to low 50s. Depending on the size of the agency, the accounts, etc.
I'd aim for 40.
