Is it any surprise we’re seeing mass layoff in tech? Years of rich friends hiring rich friends with no work ethic has lead us here. I know way too many tech people who work maybe an hour a day followed by errands and traveling. A lot of getting in these places is who you know, apparently that doesn’t work out like it used to. The amount of people who worked for Meta, Apple, Amazon, etc for a few months / maybe a year is astounding. it’s around that time frame a boss can tell if you’re worth it
There are two schools of thought. First, it's that the most recently hired is the first to be cut. The second is that those making the most money are the ones on the chopping block. Hopefully, in your case, it's the latter (or, ideally, no layoffs at all). Best of luck to you!
EY1 throwing out the Weight Average method.
Revenue producers stick around.
The grunts doing the work are still needed to either a) service existing clients or b) process pitch books for me.
The VP’s and Directors without their own business get kicked in the teeth and thrown out the door - fewer deals to process means fewer mid-level guys necessary.
@MD1. Aight bet! Thank you sir
I think this depends more on the company you are working for and your own aptitude.
