Here is a previous post I made:
CertMike (https://www.certmike.com/cipp/)
I relied on his study guide and last-minute review (90% of my study). IMO the last-minute review is worth at least 5x its cost. the online course he has is helpful if you have no privacy background at all - but was not beneficial to me. I then used the official study material for some nuanced questions I was seeing in various forums and study groups (10% of my study).
I did intense late-night studying about a week ahead of the test (b/c my membership was about to expire) while billing ~45 hrs at my firm. I do not recommend this method of studying, but my practice area has overlap and exposure to privacy law and I really did not want to waste the annual membership $. Good luck.
Thanks for the above advice, this is very beneficial
I read the book and did my outline following the topics IAPP lists for the exam. I am somewhat familiar with basic privacy concepts and laws though. There is also a very helpful CIPP/US FB group where you can find a bunch of helpful tips. I am currently studying for CIPP/E and the FB group is a tremendous helps with all the resources. Good luck!
