Hello all! So I’m currently a Realtor in LA. Prior to being a Realtor, I was a store manager for a luxury store in Beverly Hills. I was kind of forced to get out of retail when the pandemic hit so my only option at the time was to jump in to real estate as I already had my license. I’ve been feeling unfulfilled with real estate and truly miss luxury retail. Does anyone have any referrals for luxury retail jobs in Los Angeles? I would love to hear from you! Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

I was hoping one of these next certs will help me finally break into a security role and love the idea of pentesting but not sure if the CySA+ is more beneficial.

Hi, I had finished my technical and managerial round on May 25th and 26th with PWC. The manager did mention that there would be another in-person round in the PWC Bangalore office. Can we talk about privacy vendors? We are looking for a platform to handle data inventory and/or data discovery, as well as automating the privacy impact assessment process. We already have vendors for DSARs and cookies. Do most people consolidate all these functions to one platform or use multiple? Anyone willing to share vendors they have had good or bad experiences with?

So as a 30ish yo with a government/PE/tech background and CIPM/CIPP… I’m finding privacy work is just much easier and interesting than other kinds, but still pays plenty well.

Is it too late/inadvisable to go to law school to specifically aim for privacy work?
