Getting so-called "cost of living raises" will never get us ahead. I only see two ways, either changing jobs/companies/careers, or moving up in your current company. Unfortunately, it doesn't take much to get as far as you can with promotions, in my experience. So, how many people here are sticking with a company because of hopes or expectations of a promotion?

Not me. I don't expect a promotion or significant raise any time soon. I'm still sticking around anyway. My job isn't great, but the chances of me finding better in this job market are almost nonexistent. Might as well stay put and hope things improve next year.

Mmm.. my company hasn't been bad with promotions. As long as you keep your very first position for 1 year, you can move to other positions fast.

I’m sticking with my job because of their loyalty and how they promote their employees from with in. Plus the job market is not in the best condition right now. I know some of my friends that have been changing jobs recently to find the right job with great pay. I believe they have found it.

ADVICE NEEDED: Any GSAPers secure funding from the firm when you’re also going up for promo? I’m afraid that leadership won’t want to promote me to M (right around the corner for me) if they know I’m on the way out to school. Thoughts? Am I overthinking this?

I don't know if anyone can answer this. But how much do most civil engineers make? There are so many conflicting reports about "overpaid consultants" and it's almost impossible to get an actual answer

Hi all, which companies in the Federal space can I target that work in the healthcare implementation space? Most openings I see are on the strategy/advisory side.
I have a lot of experience in the Medicaid world and have led and managed implementation projects there. Thanks.
