McKinsey & Company I had a second round of interview with McK 1 week back but no one got back to me yet.
I only received a link to login to McK website where the status my job application shows “In Progress”.
I am not sure whether it takes so much time for McK to respond after the second round. Is anybody aware of this?

Fidelity Investments I joined FIL on 08th August 2022 and hence was eligible for appraisal but even after a good feedback, I was told that there is no increment in salary as well as bonus because of "Too Soon To Decide" rating. And this is being followed not just in our team but in whole FIL. This is the first time I am hearing such kind of thing and didn't found any thing like this on "HR Hub". So, if anyone of you know about this or have received similar gyan from Manager, please share your experience. Fidelity In

I am honestly doing the exact same thing right now. Looking for instructional design type jobs in industry or for EdTech companies. I recently finished my PhD and don't want to be teaching high school forever. But ID seems to be a lot more competitive than it used to be. Best advice I've heard is to take on freelance/contract roles and try to build experience outside of education as you search. And learn instructional design lingo!!
While I don’t have much experience in this field, I would give you the same advice I give anyone looking to test the waters right now when it comes to the job market : Do all you can to make yourself undeniable.
Beef up your resume, get certain certifications that relate to roles you’re interested in/applying for, talk to people who can offer advice/referrals.
Applying for jobs and interviewing has turned into a full time role these days, and odds are you will be competing against hundreds and thousands of people for any given role, some much more qualified than you.
It’s not easy to just decide one day you want to change your career. It will take time, but hard work, perseverance and confidence can help expedite that process.
