McKinsey + Google will open a lot of doors in the tech world and otherwise. Unless you have better options or are not passionate about tech, this is a good offer.
Not to discount at all OP’s accomplishment, but $320k is pretty standard Director level comp at any of several dozen Bay Area tech companies, many of which have arguably higher upside than Google.
OP, at this point you should be optimizing for team, interest, and WLB over comp or brand. Growth in your next role is what will carry you into the C-suite, assuming that is your goal.

At most tech companies outside of Google:
L6 = Director
L7 / “Head of” = Sr Director
L8 = VP
From the 185k base, I assume you’re going for an L6 role and are exiting as a 2nd year EM.
-Base will probably not move
-Equity seems like a fair offer, but if you havent negotiated yet, I’d try
-Id ask for a signing bonus if possible
Otherwise it seems like a workable offer.
Side note: Be sure to ask what career progression looks like in the role and over time. I assume it’s going to be much slower than consulting

Congrats OP! This looks solid to me for L6 comp in GBO / non-tech. Your previous comment on refresher RSUs will indeed bump up comp over time (multiple overlapping 4-yr grants). Director level at Google is L8.

True but things move very fast in the tech world. Amazon may take a larger share of the search market in two years etc. No firms’ future is guaranteed. But I agree that google is one of the safest companies within tech

Not strictly true - we do a fair amount of lateral hiring, but typically people with experience profiles we are light on
I need some addt’l info on your comp. Post-MBA Associates at McK are making $165K (I’m at a top school right now so speak from experience). I’m shocked you’d be making anything less than $250K base at McK, which would make G’s offer seem quite low IMO.
AP at McKinsey is when the Comp starts to get real - Associate to EM isn’t a huge jump

Seems right, even base. Know that FAANG cap base at SF to 185k but pay well in equity
Only Amazon has a 185 cap
SM3: 185+100+37=322. Also remember equity is assumed at face/current market value in this calculation but could be worth way more at time of vesting
