Google ’ers, how does one begin to network for the coveted referral? It would make sense to get to know someone at Google so they can speak honestly about me and my quals for the referral but would feel silly cold emailing on LI and unfortunately my connections are not allowed to refer me due to restrictions. Happy to cold apply to a position but read online and on fishbowl that your resume tends to go into a blackhole with this method. Any advice?
