Hi folks,

What do you think, is NPS a good scheme of investing in comparison of Mutual funds, stock market and ppf?

Drawback with nps is the lock in and getting annuity of 40%. I would suggest to pay the 15k tax and save the amount it would almost get you same returns as nps at the age of 60 with whole amount in your pocket

I am also agreed with it, we might generate more corpus from other sources and 100% can be withdrawn at any time.

No. I'll suggest don't use it as investment but as retirement planning. And first exhaust 80c in other instruments. And then if you still have money to save then use 80CCD 1 B for NPS and invest 50K.

That depends on your tax bracket, if you’re in 30% bracket, u can utilise 80CCD(2) and get tax deduction., it’s good for retirement If you’re in 10-20% bracket, MFs will serve u better without any locking

@EY1- allocation type depends on your risk profile, I go for highest equity. Coming to fund house, pick anyone of your choice by seeing past performance, you can change the fund house once in a year

@author- it’s a good retirement scheme, u can selectively the annuity accordingly, in few plans ur son/daughter will also receive something (If I remember correctly, cross check once)

Hello everyone, need a help from you.

Previously my HRA amount was 96000 per annum so I was submitting a rental agreement of full hra without giving pan card details of myself and first party.

Now I have recently joined a new company and here hra is 2.7LPA.

How can I claim the full hra amount? I live in a rented house where agreement is between owner and my dad. Also owner will not accept for a fake agreement too.

Any other alternative do I have to claim HRA? Your inputs are welcome here

I feel like I've been living under a rock for ~5 yrs. I was happy and blowing off money with the thinking that I'll start saving once I start earning more.

Just realised that could've started early. I'm in mid 20s and thinking about investment. Tried watching YouTube videos. But I have pretty basic questions :
1. Where do I even start?
2. What %age of income should I invest?

I hope I'm not late.
