How much can I ask from BNY Mellon for the role of Lead Full-Stack Engineer.

I did everything to get the most deserved promotion but no promotion and 5% hike. I learnt the hard way that you always do the least but highlight like a big achievement. Add automation to the process in such a way that it will increase dependency on you. They are there to maximize output from you but give no reward to you. They will keep moving the goal post and ask you to prove more or do the extra.
Yeah the last part what they told me for next year. Anyways i am leaving this dump quietly with smile

It also depends on what level you are getting promoted to.. Also other factors are at play - your pay in the previous position in comparison to pay that you should ideally be receiving in the new position, budgets, etc.. I have seen folks with exceeded getting 0% hike & bonus.. that does not mean managers do not want to compensate.. it is purely due to fact they also do not have many options in hand to compensate for a highly paid candidate.. Again I am not a manager but have really seen what goes into this process.. This time there are relatively few candidates who got promoted due to less budgets.. Not saying BNY is a great org.. But everywhere the story is more or less the same.. Many banks have in fact skipped the process of rolling out hikes for the past few years
