Because it's not just Math for the sake of Math. Math helps train your mind and lay the foundation for skills like critical thinking, how to break down a problem systematically, how to handle your frustration when you struggling with a problem, and how to approach new problems that you've never encountered. The list goes on. It's not just the solution. It's the process. You might be born with brainpower, but how you use it is a skill you need to train when you're young.

Ok

You need more help than technology can provide if you need a calculator to figure out 10+5…

I do this all the time. It helps to avoid simple human error.

The best was at inventory observations when the warehouse guys would do 46 x 1245 x 12 in their heads in 3 seconds while im there with my calculator looking like an idiot

You didn't use your toes?????
