I’m a foreign qualified lawyer who passed the NY Bar Exam recently. I’m looking to apply to law firms along the East Coast. How do I get in touch with a recruiter to help me with my job search?

My understanding is that recruiters only work with attorneys who have some (at least 1-2) years of experience who are already in the US market
You’re better off networking on your own (even if that requires cold emailing people, attending online events and then reach out, etc)
In my opinion recruiters don’t want to deal with explaining firms that a candidate needs visa / prospect of missing out their fee if candidate cannot get visa etc
It just makes it harder for them to get someone hired which in turns diminishes the chances of getting a fee
This might be different if you have 5-6+ experience

Hey Recruiters, stop trying to connect with me on LinkedIn when I don’t know you - no you can’t have access to my contact. When you do send me message, maybe do a little home work. And when you do work with a candidate, update them regularly - it’s not that hard.
