I'm also the oldest associate that I know of in my office ... Unless there's a 35 year old auditor here

@PwC1 we had a tax associate who was around 35 when he started (a second career). He was older then most managers lol. But if you ask me age is just a number 🤓

Just have work pay for it

Not required for my job...

Get them off a torrent site. That's what I did. CFE since 2013. I an auditor with a CPA and CFA too. When I brought it up my coach said it would be disadvantageous to ask because firm would think Im preparing to leave.

PwC only paid for CPA Becker. All else was torrents. 26th floor in NYC has copies of CFA stuff lying around on north side of building lockers.

Lol I need the CFE though not the CFA material.. I tried to find it off torrent sites but there was no CFE material.. And wow!! CFA is really hard, I failed level 1 and never wanted to do it again.

Don't get discouraged. I had it before i came to PwC in my previous career... And it took me 7 years and many failed attempts. Level 2 is pure horror

For those of you that left big 4 accounting to do MBA, did you leave at Senior level (3-4 YOE) or at the Manager level (5 YOE). I would assume to leave at manager level would be more ideal as when you come back to the workforce you should at the very least be ready to come in at manager or above at your next job? Thoughts?

Probably a bit premature but would like some advice. Current in-house sr counsel at 155k +15% bonus in NJ. Company is well established private company. In the latter stages of interviewing for an established startup- salary will likely be 180-200 plus equity (pre-ipo). Very happy currently but promotions are hard to come by. Thoughts on using an offer (if one comes) as leverage for a raise (which they’re working on) or just making the move to be number 2 attorney at new company

Hello fellow teachers. It’s my second year teaching and I’ve begun to get my pace in the classroom with discipline except one student. She doesn’t do her work and when my coteacher and I walk around, she doesn’t accept help (for example, she will sit looking at her blank work so when we go over to ask her how should she start the problem or can we read it to understand, she’ll pull away her chromebook and annoyingly says I don’t need help. This student currently has a 0% in math because of this.
