I worked there as a freelancer for awhile and found it to be sort of joyless and secretive. As much as you want it to be a fun, nimble company, it’s still a huge corporation. A friend of mine that’s full time enjoys it but also said you have c-suite people weighing in on stuff five levels beneath them. He makes great money, but the cost of living in the Cupertino area is decently high. The name seems to crush it on resumes.
Big pay, you’ll complete one initiative or project per year. So idk if that’s good or bad for you. For me it would be bad.
probably the best place to ever be an advertising creative
I know 2 people who did it. One hated it, one loved it.
It depends where you work. It is a big company and while some people love it, some also hate it. I loved it, but I found that when I left it was hard to find that love of detail at other companies in-house. I also found that after Apple, I got a lot of jealously from other designers, as well as unrealistic expectations from leaders who thought one person could do what a team of hundreds do at Apple everyday.
