Happy Sunday everyone! As we wind down for the next upcoming week, we need be thankful for everything that we have done so far this week. Name something that you are grateful for that got you through this week. For me, I lost my grandmother on the 4th but I believe that surrounding myself with family and friends makes it a little bit easier.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this! I lost my grandmother on Thanksgiving last year and it's always hard to lose a loved one on a holiday. I also think that from now on Thanksgiving will feel like a memorial day for her too though, and I'm grateful I"ll always be with family on that day going forward. Take care!!

I'm really sorry to hear about your grandmother. I lost mine five years ago, and I still get choked up whenever something reminds me of her. I hope you're able to find some measure of comfort in your family, friends and memories. This week I'm grateful for my kids. We had a perfect weekend hanging at the pool and playing together. I'm so proud of the people they're becoming.

Thanks.

Hey fishes, recently got an offer of 245k plus a bonus, but no specificity and at least 3% cost of living annual raise. My current job I make 150k plus a 20% bonus and an annual cost of living raise anywhere from 2-3.5%. Have been in my current position about a year. Things have been a bit bumpy (not a me issue) I have a new supervisor and was recently given 7 direct reports (I had zero before). The new position while comes with a significant raise is a move to California. Any thoughts?

I’m interviewing for a marketing manager role at a company based in SF. I’m genuinely excited about the role and the company but we’ve yet to discuss salary. I expect to be asked at some point, but my research has given me a VERY broad range. So I’m here to do a bit more research. I’ve got 5 very relevant years of experience and will have an associate manager directly reporting to me. Are there any marketers out there who can share their salaries in similar regions and experience levels?

I’m interviewing with a startup and the range has a 40k difference from the lowest to highest point. It’s also pre-seed and comes with equity, and health, 401k benefits. It’s a director of sales role so I would eventually be recruiting and managing a team along with building the processes and strategy. What would you consider a fair compensation package? If they offer me something on the lower end of the range, is it still appropriate to counter with an offer that is over their stated range?
