As a former recruiter, let them make you an offer - don’t give them any insight or any range.
Thank you! Feel free to ask questions on there & ill create a reel, post or story to answer the questions! If one person is wondering, odds are, others are too!
Since the salary range is too wide you could ask the recruiter “I did some research and found that this role in this industry with this man years of experience ranges from x to y —can you share with me the salary band for the role you are hiring for”?
I would say that’s a very good question to ask!

Depends on type of company, location and YOE. You also shouldn’t offer any number first. Ask them to make an offer based on your experience.
I would say never reveal your current salary. If your YOE is up there, like 10+ go with something on the higher side. If you’re on the lower end, go with a happy medium. Also, check Glassdoor for a salary range.
This is what I always do, you could ask “what’s your budget range for the role?” and then go from there, sometimes you can even go 5-10% higher than their highest end on the range.
Did you ask what the range is for that position? I would ask the recruiter.
I make 74,633 as a policy analyst at a local health department. It’s still very low for NYC.
