I'm in Corporate M&A and I work 20 hours a week max so to answer your question I peace out at 2pm I mean wot? 🙋♂️
Depends on the company culture and timeline of the deal. I’ve work with clients who peace out at 6 and clients who were grinding it out with me at 11pm
Second - I’ve been on some deals where folks peace at 4pm.
Our integration team constantly works weekends because when we sign and close on Friday, inventory needs to be counted that weekend and other post-closing efforts. Lots of travel as well. May vary depending on company.
Same
P1 hit the nail on the head - I work on the PMI side and I work 35 hrs a week max. At a very acquisitive company (we’ve done 25+ sizable deals in the past 2 years)
Depending on where you are, it depends. I’ve had calls at 5:30 AM and as late as 8 PM for clients based in other time zones.
On average they do peace closer to 6 but by nature of deals they need to work triage hours fairly consistently. It depends on the deal(s) on their plates and where they are in it
When deals slow down and our functional integration teams have it on autopilot, there could be weeks where I'm working 1-10 hours a week. When there's a live DD in parallel to a sign to close planning for a larger deal, it could mean 60+ hours for a couple of weeks including weekend work
