Why are New York HOA prices as crazy as they are?

I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant and due in mid-December. I will be on leave during our performance review period and just started at my company in April. We have “development check ins” this month to discuss career growth and development opportunities and I need to come prepared to discuss my career goals. The thing is my main goal at the moment is to maintain work life balance through the rest of my pregnancy and I am struggling to come up with anything more to say. Any words of wisdom?
