Has anyone added addendum in their lease agreement to remediate liabilities for fireplace, playscape, and grill (which is connected directly to gas line)? My agent told me people don’t usually include that but my research says otherwise. It’s my first time becoming a landlord, any tips appreciated.

Got an offer at FAANG for PgM role with 140K in base + 70K in RSU (over 4 years). Have 6 YOE in consulting. With the new increase in pay at PwC the difference does not seem all that much though. Wondering if I got low balled and if there is anyway to renegotiate.

At what income level should one be comfortable to spend 2400/mo on rent in HCOL? Assuming single, no kids, no debt or major expenses.

Who is still in denial about a housing correction? The Fed just made another .75% increase. Powell said they won’t stop until inflation is 2%. He also said a recession would be better than the consequences of unchecked inflation. He announced he will bring rates to a “restrictive level” until “the job is done”. He said that labor demand needs to soften (ie: layoffs). He very explicitly said he wants to slash demand and that housing needs a “correction”.

I thought the answer is yes but now double checking. Can we write off the interest we pay on our primary residence mortgage?
