For PwC fishes who left recently, how did you consolidate wealth builder into 401k within benefits express to avoid the 20% federal tax withholding that was described in the benefits package? I tried to do this online but it didn’t show as an option except to rollover to an existing IRA or take a final distribution. Do I need to call benefits express?

It’s not going to add value if the entire bathroom is remodeled except for an old tub.
My wife hates the mold that grows in the jets from long periods of non use. We will be passing on your home if you keep this.
We briefly looked at re-sells last round and I had the same concerns. Any house with one, I immediately wanted gone. They are essentially impossible to thoroughly clean assembled.
My logic was, the outdoor versions use chemicals and replaceable filters for a reason.
Personally, I don’t think they add value anymore. I had one - with the same thoughts as you - and when I was trying to sell, I was told it’s more of a hassle because buyers need to know of it works and it’s not something they actually want…
You would have so much more space without it. Leaving it would make the bathroom feel dated

I don’t think people value one of these anymore. Grew up in a brand new 1995 construction and we had one. It rarely got used and although we don’t live there anymore, I would rip it out and enlarge the bathroom even more if I were buying the house today.

My townhouse in Boston is 2016 construction. I have one in the guest bathroom and use it all the time—especially after skiing and fencing (I still compete in the adult league). To me it is very relaxing and a plus, but I suppose everyone is different and fashions change. To me it wouldn’t be a must, but I’d be happy if a house I was looking at had one.
I hate those. If the home has another bathroom I like the jetted tub is in the smaller bathroom (for kids, etc)
In the master bath - a large walk in shower is what i like. Make it big enough for 2 people. Lose the tub, replace with shower
You should be fine. Missed the part about you selling the home. I wouldn’t make major changes, get it listed and sold.
I’m not sure you’d see a big difference in selling price if you did replace the tub. It may not be worth the cost.
The whole part around it discolored and looks off white and old. It goes under the tub. So needs to remove tub every time even to change the fixtures to be clear. Whirlpool tubs add value?
Based on all your comments looks like it makes sense to take it out and give that space to buyers to personalize that space as they like. Thank you all!
Have an epoxy company like a garage floor style company float over the mosaic tile and then epoxy the once tiles area with a new coating or even use rubber templates to create 12x24 faux tiles.
I view a jetted tub or any bathtub as underutilized space. I use tubs when I'm on vacation. I'd rather have a shower or empty space to put whatever I want (storage, vanity, decorations etc.).
Sounds reasonable
I take a bath every day so for me a tub is a must. However I do not like jetted tubs because you can’t clean the jets. So I would rather put a stand-alone soaking tub there.
Thank you
