Personally I don’t think so. Realistically there is an intrinsic agency problem in the system due to the compensation mechanism. This has nothing to do with their company affiliation. Both agents are incentivized for you to 1.) buy a house and 2.) pay as much as possible. A good agent should take the long view and look out for your interests since real estate is a high referral business but....
I disagree that there are zero flags with dual or designated agency. Designated agency (correctly defined above) is a copout fall back legislative move by states to allow brokers to receive both sides of a commission by using two different salespersons in a single transaction. While it often does go smoothly, the legislation serves the brokerage and not you, the consumer.
Out of curiosity, are you the seller or the buyer? What market are you in?

That’s not dual agency, it’s designated agency.
Should not be an issue they are both independent just hung their license at the same broker.
It's called dual-agency in MD. The seller and I had to sign an agreement acknowledging it.
