Hi Everybody,
I'm currently working as an outsource in Rapid Metro as Technical Assistant/Civil. I earned a Master degree in Water Resource Engineer after B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Due to Covid 19 I took job back in Civil sector even though I have a masters degree in WRE. It's been almost 6 months of constant applying and rejection and still I'm nowhere close to a job in my dream branch which is the Water sector.Im hopeful that through this portal I may find an entry level position in water
Thoughts??
Also, what do you prefer WFH or WFO?

Make the video embedded into your overall layout, and make sure it is visually appealing
Or in your bio you could have that as your picture
Yeah I can share my buddy’s. Granted he is a filmmaker not a writer.
I think that sounds like a good idea to stand out, if embedded into your website. Have fun with it but don’t make it long.
It's already boring to watch case studies. I wouldn't imagine myself watching an about video.
I think it adds character and it shows that you’re charismatic, especially if you’re looking for a more senior position. True, that the quality of work comes first, but presentation skills and personal compatibility is just as important. I have had many cases of people that had a great portfolio to show but weren’t great at presenting their own work and that just ended up wasting both of our time.
It takes up too much time to watch. I just want to see your work. And think there are other ways to stand out visually, like having a beautifully designed site
I am a very ugly man. So, no.
It’s a service that I’ve been thinking about offering. If the video is well produced, you have something brief, intelligent and helpful to say, and it’s not terribly long, I think it’s a great idea. As an example of what it could look like, you can check out a small local project that I shot and edited. I don’t know where you’re located, but I’d be happy to work with you on it. https://vimeo.com/578057955
Let me know what you think.
I think it would need to be incredibly good to not be cringe
What an interesting idea. I know when I search for new jobs,
I’ll do a little online digging for information about the CEO or hiring manager to see if they’d be a good fit. Same for doctors and other professionals. I have found videos and webinars on occasion. It could be a way to stand out with the right audience. I mean, if you’re looking to work with people who’d respond to that method, it could be worth a try!
