I once tried to return a $1000 massage chair with a slight defect and they legit said “keep it and we will refund you”
Interesting. I didn’t get that when I tried. They just said they will cover $3.99 of the shipping back cost which scared me because I know this will be a lot more expensive than that
Forgive me, bc I know this will sound like I’m talking nonsense. But—you know who might have an answer? Amazon.
Just looking for similar experiences of the process of returning and shipping back
I generally schedule a UPS pickup, find a box that’s large enough, and package it up. That way I don’t have to figure out how to get the large box to the ups store. (Did this with a tv recently. I used the box that the tv had come in)
It’s usually $6.99 for pickup, but that’s worth it for the convenience, especially for an expensive item

I thought you could take Amazon stuff to Kohls to return there.
And ups stores
I've returned large items. Some things they didn't want back (ie mattresses) and wrote off, others they would send a carrier to pick up. I needed to return an office chair that had been assembled. I just needed to explain why it wasn't going back in the box and once they understood it was easy going.
Did you have to pay the shipping back?
If you say it’s defective they will cover cost of return shipping
Oh ok don’t know how it works in Canada. I would go for the shipping label. If you end up being charged more you should argue with them to get reimbursed
Pro
It literally takes ten seconds to request a return on Amazon.
Yeah but shipping the large and heavy item back?
