M7 MBA is your best bet.
That’s just something I’ve seen on LinkedIn. Audit senior managers went to become an associate at a bb ibd. They just need people that’s willing to work hard and have good excel and deck skills. Having worked tons of busy season helps I guess
I saw a few people do it a few years ago during the great resignation. Probably not possible now. An MBA or transferring to FDD is probably the best path to get there.
Having a CFA would help you in investment banking. If you are interested in studying for it. Having a CPA and CFA I would think would be a good combination. I have read many profiles on LinkedIn of very successful people who have obtained many certifications.
Just apply everywhere. Someone will be impressed by big 4 experience and will take you. Then from there you can try and leverage that experience into the industry you want and it’s same idea from there. Shotgun resumes into that industry. All you need is one yes to change your career trajectory
