Has anyone here considered exiting for a PE Fund of Funds?

Despite my title above on the app (never changed it) I left about 2 yrs ago for a similar role at a secondaries fund. Whilst it’s not as sexy as direct PE, you get a nice work/life balance and get to make investment decisions rather than slamming QofE books all day. Additionally, the pay grade is significantly better. 100%+ bonus with opportunity for carry at certain shops.

Would love to hear about your comp/title/fund size as well.

I’m interviewing at a firm that focuses on co-investing, but I’m not sure if the compensation is that competitive.

PE Fund of Funds? Can you give a quick overview of what this is? Totally unfamiliar

Sorry that was long, I think the first two paragraphs are a good summary and the last 3 are a bit more detail if you were curious as to how they integrate into the PE ecosystem

My understanding of FoF is it involves screening funds to invest and allocating assets. Not so much analyzing companies. A lot of colleges would have these type of roles to manage endowment. Not something I’d consider personally since I like analyzing companies more

What is the experience required to become senior manager in US taxation

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

Thank you all!

Hello, looking for supervisor positions in healthcare within NYC, I am looking to start ASAP. I have my Bachelors in Health Services Admin and Economics, 5 years of experience in the industry and I am currently working towards my PMP certification, as well as going for my MBA or MHA, depending on what program I can afford. I am currently located in Queens. Thank you!

I’ve been in my current position (Bookkeeper) for 4 years now. I’m highly interested in taking the PHR, and I’m wondering if I would qualify for the 4 year HR professional job requirement to be eligible to test for the certificate. I work for a small business, therefore I do all the on boarding paperwork/payroll. Any advice is appreciated.

Hey ZSers,

I have been selected into ZS for the BTAC role under CCM(Customer-Centric Marketing). My YOE is 3.8 in Cognizant, and the domain is ETL, DW, cloud(AWS).

My question is, ZS is giving a great package compared to what I have in Cognizant (Above 100% hike), and Cognizant is ready to retain me by giving somewhere 50%-60% hike. Will ZS be a good choice for me to switch? In terms of growth, technologies, work, pay. Or should I accept what cognizant is giving and get retained?

Hello! I’m a recently graduated MSc Criminology student looking for work. I don’t know where to start or what I’m even looking for, but I’m generally interested in criminology, cyber security (no coding experience) & doing research. I’m very social and friendly and enjoy working with people, would also like hybrid work so I can work from home at times.. Any tips as to which roles I should look for? Any specific companies I should look into? (Preferably UK based, but open to most of EU)

I have been in Risk Advisory for about 5 years but I have been feeling extremely bored with the work and I am currently contemplating my next career move. What are realistic career opportunities for me excluding technical accounting, internal audit and compliance? Would obtaining an MBA help my career prospects?

When do I begin adjusting? It’s been 4 months. I joined as an associate and I feel like sometimes my work is sloppy or I’m overwhelmed. I’ve gotten feedback that I’m making progress but that sounds fake. I’ve also gotten feedback that my work is sometimes sloppy. The last report I helped write had a ton of write ups on it. Feels like I’m about to get fired.
