Yes I'm dying. Right there with you wanting to pivot
Agreed. Working in product is taking years off my life
I think that’s the hard part is there’s no time it feels like to try to do something on the side and discover what else might be out there.
I’d love to know. I’ve gotta get out. No opportunities for advancement for my career level anymore. Everyone only wants seniors and up
yes - pivoted from Product to CS ops, took a slight pay cut but much happier and much more work-life balance
same company, and i didn’t have to restart at entry level thankfully because i already have a rapport with the company. was able to transition to a Sr CS ops role 🙏🏼
I was struggling too. Nearly 20 years in various levels of product management roles. For distribution and manufacturing companies both along the line. Was getting burned out with lack of sales engagement and having to push so hard for VOC to create new products or improvements. Finally pulled the plug and moved into sales role which will allow me to further engage with customers directly and control more aspects than before with all the day to day corporate bs we all deal with as PMs. Good luck
What are your reasons to pivot from PM? Is the the PM role or the company you want to pivot from.
