Change like that has to be his choice and his responsibility, otherwise, he is delaying the inevitable relapse.
I would definitely suggest handing this responsibility off to a close friend of his so you can be more of the emotional support side he can talk to
We’re having fun with it, I take it out of his pocket in the morning while he’s in the shower, etc., and we don’t really acknowledge it in the moment he’s discovering it’s gone. He brings it up later and we laugh about it, but I’m a little aware we could be creating an unhealthy dynamic. On the other hand, ecigs are so bad. He needs to want to stop, so my idea is to present him with a bucket of all the ecigs I took from him over the past month to see if maybe the cost is what gets him. After that, what? Never been in a situation like this before, I’m generally not a taskmaster type in relationships.
Eeesh yeah IDK. Seems unhealthy to me. He has to motivate himself to make the change.
