Has anyone successfully negotiated a back-dated raise? My Senior title came with a 20% increase in responsibility but exactly 0% increase in pay. They asked me to start shadowing the new hires, but when I asked about the compensation adjustment, they said the title was the reward. I’m essentially doing a manager’s job for an AE’s salary, and I feel like I’ve been tricked into a promotion that only benefits the company.

I'm not in sales per se but I manage my company's largest wholesale account ($150 million per/yr account). It's a great company, awesome culture, good benefits, flexibility, but the pay is not great ($60K/yr). All the pros outweighed the mediocre pay, but now with inflation rising, my paycheck isn't going as far and I'm having a really hard time trying to figure out if I should start looking elsewhere or if I should ask my boss for a raise.

That base salary is lower than my previous base by a significant amount by 32.7%

Hi everyone, I got hired on as entry level sales operations role back in January. It quickly turned into sales, and eventually all the sales for the small company once the head of sales left. I am happy to take on the additional role for my company, and they are going to let me. But they feel that without multiple people in a sales department the title head of sales might not be the best title. I have input in what my updated position title and salary would be. I work in commercial real estate retail leasing. Current employer just increased base to $100k with avg. 20-35% bonus/commissions combined. Received offer to exclusively work for a tenant and help them open new locations. $115k base 10% bonus & also stock options. Remote work, lots of driving, similar job title.
