So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I have been shortlisted for AC role and my HR discussion is scheduled next week.
1. Need some insights on the maximum and minimum ctc (fixed and variable) that can be offered for 3 yoe (all relevant) . My current ctc is 7.2 (6.5 fixed) . Tech stack - Big data and AWS developer.
2. Is there any joining bonus. If yes , what should be the ask.
Any inputs will be very helpful for me to go with my expectations to the HR. Thanks!

Someone claimed few months ago that ZS doesn't lay off and they put on PIP in the bad performing scenario, But the actual scenario is that it shows you the exit door and ask you to resign ASAP , they initiate the separation and give a 2 months later date of last working day to ensure you get a job meanwhile. If you don't resign then they will throw you out with a bad mark on performance.
It's a new ZS, new leadership, new mindsets. Just like stock market, the past is not an indicator of future performance ..
Lay off is just an excuse they hire laterals get work done and then put them on pip and layoff. Zs is not good for laterals at all.
I don't deny the fact completely and respect the sentiments.
But I have not heard of any such cases yet. (Validated)
Would be interesting to see the track wise breakdown.

Treat People Right does not apply to contractors. Applies on you even when you end up working for their business
Not for laterals only. One full time Associate and one of my friend got laid off day before yesterday and the reason they said was performance issues. Although it wasn't the actual case.
They do that only. Full of politics and just favouritism you raise voice against someone and you will be put on pip and will be shown the door
