I’ve been in tech for years, but I’m considering moving into a government role for better stability and benefits. I know government hiring can be rigid, so I’m wondering what specific skills or qualifications helped your application stand out. Did certifications like Security+ or CISSP make a difference? Were there government-specific systems or regulations (like FedRAMP or FISMA) you had to learn?
