Has anyone taken their paternity leave and then come back to work and feel like they got ‘mom tracked’? I was on a project leading a sub work stream thru 2020 but they had to ‘cost cut’. I wouldn’t have been replaced if I wasn’t on leave and now I’m riding the bench for a bit. Feels like taking my leave has drastically reduced my chances of getting promoted his year and has negatively impacted metrics for the year. Doesn’t sit well with me and wondering if others have had this happen to them.

I am a UX designer and have spoken with a potential client who intially wanted to redesign the navigation and landing page of their site. They showed me analytics saying only .35% of users open the main menu (most access different pages through Google search and then leave the site) so it's not worth the time to redesign. I see a lot of growth potential here, but they don't see the value in good nav if users don't already use it. How do I show them the value of good nav? Should I just let it go?
