I’m negotiating my salary, and I’m curious what a reporter/digital editorial lead makes at your company? I have 15+ years of experience in employee communications and TV news, and I live in the Seattle area. I think I’m being shortchanged bc I’m asked to do some of my previous manager’s responsibilities (he was promoted), but I’m paid as a reporter. Made a career pivot to another agency. During the interview we talked about how it may start as initially a "step backwards" (pay/benefits) but has potential for more long term growth. First day was yesterday. Had no communication about when or where to show up, sat in an empty office for about half an hour before a couple people finally showed. No phone call or email. Sent an email to the founder, no response. I could easily get my old job back if wanted.

Today I got the job offer and they are offering me 54k. My current company is making me 50k with tons of benefits which is why I am asking for 60k.
