Guys , whoever is interviewing and planning to join , do ask project availablity on priority basis before you take decision. On Java front looks like there is some project issue due to recent slowdown in market. My offer was not revised even after agreement with recruiter because of this.

Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

It’s only the first day, I’d say be patient and wait on what the founder or your direct superior says.
You’re gonna do great! It also might be a slower time of the year, but whenever you speak to whomever, be sure to ask about the hours, flexibility, etc and some open ended questions related to the office culture. Might give you better insight on why things were the way they were yesterday and how things will operate moving forward.
That’s frustrating. I’ve been there before - once even took a week just to get my laptop / email working!
Hopefully an honest mistake. Give it a few weeks to see if momentum builds. Perhaps even flag with your new manager you want to build momentum fast and identify a plan within 45 days and be well and truly rolling by day 100
Keep in mind that you started the day after a holiday. Most were probably still in vacation mode.
That's not an excuse to not send pertinent information the week before about what to expect on my first day. I don't expect them to care more about my job than I do, but I do expect respect and an enthusiasm for having somebody new join their team. They knew that I was sacrificing (10k+ in salary, and 3 weeks of extra PTO at the least) and taking a risk of my own to go there. The least they could do is the bare minimum. The holiday weekend isn't a relevant excuse for never responding to my emails or taking a quick opportunity later that day to at least apologize.
I’d consider the reason why I left the old job and weigh it with the potentials that this job could grow into.
This sounds like an extremely frustrating and underwhelming way to start a new job. Has it gotten better? If they’re still as disorganized and uncommunicative than I’m afraid it might not change. I’m biased because I started with a lot of chaos with my current role and after a year in, nothing has changed.
