I have several times! Paris, Hawaii, cruise, Mexico, and Dominican Republic. Fantastic experience all around. It’s great to discuss with them on the phone, as they direct you to a rep who is most knowledgeable of your area of interest. We had a flight issue on one trip, and Costco was so quick to respond and moved us to another airline to still get there on time at no cost.
We used them for a Disney cruise. The cruise was crazy expensive over a holiday (7 day) cruise was in the 10k range for a family of 4. Got almost $900 in Costco card and got the 2% reward since I had the executive card.
I used it for my honeymoon to Bora Bora! It was like half the cost that it would be if I booked myself. Loved every minute of it.
We spent about 8.5k for 8 nights 3 in Moorea and 5 in Bora Bora (if I did it again I would flip it Moorea was awesome!). We stayed at the Sofitel on both islands. I would do Sofitel again for Moorea but not Bora Bora. Conrad, Saint regis or intercontinental are amazing. Costco includes flights from LA and all transfers and breakfast.
I’ve used them. It is typical Costco. Good value; not a ton of choices.
Can you save money overall? I saw they offered free breakfast and waived resort fees for some promos for a particular resort. I don’t get what the 2% executive will get me. I don’t shop there since I have a small apt. I have a friend with a membership and would book thru her.
Price out the vacation using the same criteria (I.e. hotel flights rental car etc) and see what is cheaper. Some time Costco includes things you don’t need like a rental car so it wouldn’t be cheaper to go that route.
Several members (including me) would be happy to purchase for you if you don’t want to get the membership as they can get the 2% rebate.
You can also work with a great travel agent / travel planner instead of going through Costco. They can offer similar or even better prices, perks, etc. (especially on cruises, resorts, and nicer hotels). Travel planner here, happy to assist. Just DM me. 😎 🏝️
