Have an interview coming up and I always feel like I’m forgetting to ask those much needed questions that give me more insight into the agency/culture and what I can expect if I get the job. What are some of your go-to questions in an interview that you feel are really helpful?

I think asking them what their favorite thing about a particular account/client is can be pretty telling… if it’s a good opportunity they’ll gush about the clients and how excited they are for what’s to come. If it’s a bad job they’ll usually say “we’re trying to push them.” Stay away if they’re trying to push!!!

I usually ask about process -- how internal reviews work, how their presentations go, etc. Usually you can get a feel for whether or not expectation are realistic or if jobs are rushed or there's workplace toxicity.

Here are a few I like to ask:
-‘How would you describe the creative culture here and who do you think defines it?’
-‘What does it feel like to show the head creative a really bad idea?’
-‘What’s something you’ve made in the last year that you’re super proud of?’
-‘What’s a good example of the departments collaborating in a way where everyone saw how working together made the work better?’
-‘What are the office parties like?’

Just became an ACD. Im in a limbo. Half of the time im being treated as a Super Senior AD and the other half im being treated as a Almost CD. Then when im scoped over work that my CD and I oversee, some people are asking me how does my role differ from the CD’s, as they tend to look at me as an unnecessary layer for approvals. In a way, i do the job so well that i get asked to do more AD projs and guide more projs — but then: wtf does my CD do? They mostly just 👍🏻what i direct n approve

A branding question. If FIFA stopped calling it the Women’s World Cup, would more of the world start treating it with as much reverence as the men’s World Cup, which is just called The FIFA World Cup?

What’s your take on a job listing that states “From $xx,xxx”

The particular job I’m looking at has this on the listing and I’m curious as to what their budget actually is. Do I assume a range?

They’re seeking someone with 5-8 years experience. I have the latter (8 almost 9)

How would I approach this when asked without pricing myself out of the position? Especially if they’re not willing to be upfront (assuming here) how much they’d want to offer me in particular.

I have an associate's degree in graphic design and work designing wedding stationery. I'm now severely burnt out (most of my team is) and not sure which way to go, or how to grow. Any tips/advice?
