Having a hard time meeting expectations. I am working for a start up company in the health space (10+ years retail company) I was hired to run the RCM department because of my expertise just me. The first month I was there my job was to help in various queues and ensure the “job was done”. I have since added few reps to my team (not enough to complete the work load) so I spend most of my time filling in gaps and working to complete ensure queues are low

During my last review I was told I was missing expectations.
My management and reporting skills are subpar because I spend too much time “doing”
How do I not spend time doing when everything is pilling up and the few reps that I have cannot complete everything by themselves?!?
This is my first “missing expectation “ review EVER and it just sucks!!

Hello, I need your advice. I am currently in management in primary care. I have a strong management background in specialty hospital practice management. Recently some leadership positions have become available and I feel as if my leader has discouraged me from applying. His take is that I should take certain steps before applying, however I have the experience from my previous employment in this leadership role. Would I be overstepping to apply anyways ?
