That’s because none exist lol
I’ve been looking everywhere for that but there are $1800 a month places in streeterville are pretty nice. Look at “arrive”.
South loop is probably your best bet. That’s a pretty small budget for basically anywhere north of the river unless you go out farther west.
South loop is nowhere near lakeview, why are people suggesting this?
I’d recommend getting a realtor and looking at some high rises. I live in a one bedroom in a high rise in Lakeview on LSD and pay $1500/month
Check out Lincoln Park Plaza, good for the price. If you don’t mind having laundry in the building rather than in unit you can expand your search! Check out Gold Coast as well, if you don’t mind an older building (I’m in a studio now and love the area and the price isn’t too bad)
Definitely get a realtor, inventory is low so it may be hard to locate on your own. I suggest going on aptamigo.com and Fulton Grace realty websites and running a search / contact them for a realtor.
Check out places between Diversey and Belmont should be around the price ur looking for
Check out wave
Have you considered looking in a less expensive area that fits your budget? Other suggestion would be to simply make more money
Do you have roommates? Just got a place within that budget, but only because I’m living with 2 others
Your budget isn’t going to find you anything nice over there. Try south loop, wicker park, or bucktown.
You can find something in uptown, Buena Park, etc on the north side and virtually anything further west for a decent size but it’ll be a further commute if you go into the office - PPM apartments have decent property options but sometimes have surprise stupid taxes or fees as a heads up
Yes they exist! Use rental companies and they will show you a few places. They won’t have AC or in unit laundry but my friend lives on Cornelia and Sheffield and has a nice 1br for about 1,200.
I will say she had to call them months in advance to secure her place. She saw units available for like May listed online and emailed/called multiple times to be able to be one of the first people to see the ones available for August. Become the rental agency secretary’s BFF
Would you be okay with going up to around Edgewater? It’s farther north but there’s great public transit in Chicago. You’d get cheaper options and it’s safer up there too.
How far is your commute? I like Evanston, very affordable and still close enough to the action
Not sure about the budget but hope this helps: https://www.localbylaramar.com/chicago/lincolnpark-neighborhood.aspx?utmsource=PPC-CHI&utmmedium=cpc&gclid=CjwKCAjwk_WVBhBZEiwAUHQCmTU3jPHfWfpw4ljzAB_XT9GBcqLRwRa_kWJCH6YHq6b94E8a9cmRZBoCgiQQAvD_BwE
