I am not from South, have grown to leadership level 10 years. No such thing as North vs South.
It's 0% true. Not in Verizon at least, but I heard it's there in many companies.. Due to many reasons, 70% of the IT companies r present in Southern India..
Not really. I have seen that bias from north indian managers, the moment you tell you can't speak Hindi

It’s 80% true based on you’re manager, some manger are worst then others, unfortunately I faced this problem very strongly under my 2nd manager

I had atleast 5 managers from Hyderabad as well as Chennai. Never felt that I am being judged because of region. HR policies are very strong, in case some one has actually tried to ruin your career.
If you are in Chennai then yes....

Will be joining Bluru
I too faced same bias from North Indian Architect. He directly asked me Don’t you know Hindi? Why these guys feel Hindi as a universal language. We respect everyone language and culture, not forcefully. If they are not interested to learn/speak my language, I’m also not interested to learn/speak their language.
