Additional Posts in Job Referrals in Canada
Hi, I am new to Canada and currently living in Vancouver, BC. I was looking for opportunities in the Financial Services industry in the Metro Vancouver Area. I have about 3 years of experience in the Banking/Financial Services and HealthTech industry and worked alongside IBM and PwC in developing and implementing cutting-edge FinTech products for business clients of a Financial Institution and led the Finance and data science team at a Health tech startup. Let me know if anyone can help me.

Do you have PR or citizenship? Some other right to work in Canada for a Canadian employer? I came up to Canada with a US based job that ended right about the time I got PR. Happy to chat.
I have my PR, eligible for citizenship test in 1.5 years I believe. That is about the exact timing for me too with my US based job lol.
How about that sobering switch from a US-based job to a Canadian one, money-wise?.. I moved to Canada and still hold my US-based job and get an NYC-equivalent salary which is the only thing keeping me afloat in Vancouver. Cannot fathom how people could survive here getting the CAD-level salary (which is only about 55% of what I'm getting right now, for my role, in Canada market). No solution, just venting 😄
Yea, the US jobs most definitely pay more. I’m hoping to land another US based role soon for the same reason you’re saying. The cost of living here is insane, I too don’t know how people are doing it on Canadian salaries.
