Hey guys! I just received luckily enough two offer from two big companies: one as a Senior UX in SAP Concur and another one at Microsoft as a Designer II in Microsoft Teams. The role matters until a certain point to me. What does it matter is career and learning perspectives. Do you have any previous experience with one of the two companies? Just discovered a public slack channel (that very much should have been private) that a few women at my work have been using to bitch about the co-workers they don’t like. There’s a lot of very mean posts about several of the CDs, account people, producers etc. There’s quite a few hateful posts about me and my partner too 🙈 should I tell them?

Anyone figured out a good way to keep hearings public? I'm trying to figure out if I can get the courts to post zoom links for hearings somewhere.

I love teaching art but am having to teach remotely to 1150 kids, k - 5. Have about 54 amazing elementary art teachers in my district that share SO much! I could retire (34 yrs), but just don’t want to because I love what I do! Feeling like my students aren’t getting what they should because I am struggling with Zoom, Microsoft, safe YouTube, bitmoji, embedding, downloads, editing, etc. Anyone else feeling this way?

I tutor ESL after school and recently switched over to Zoom. Students are stating that they are unable to annotate. I’ve read that this is common for Chromebook users. Does anyone know of a way to bypass this and/or any video/picture tutorials? Otherwise, it looks like we’ll just have to add an additional open tab with a google share doc. Many thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

What are some good online communities (on Discord, Slack, etc) to join as a designer? Want to connect with fellow designers, possibly work on hobby projects together, etc... There seem to be quite a few for newbies in the space but looking for ones that aren't predominantly students/designers in training

Just realized I hadn’t had an in-person interview since 2019. I’ve done multiple zoom interviews and was onboarded remote in 2020. About to see a real person today! Wish me luck.

Researching the job mkt & pay for nursing: It is so easy to set up a first interview esp. as a nurse. Set up a zoom meeting, in the zoom meeting ask abt job details and ask for the salary range. They will give it to you, and in my case it was the same range for both of the companies. (Hospice oncall nurse here👋). Then you fit in somewhere on that continuum based on education & experience—that where the negotiation comes in—they will make a case to place you as low as possible on the scale.
