I went through Indiana Wesleyan. Most was online, except work in a classroom (practicums, student teaching, etc)
Contact your state board of education. In Michigan they have just started a program that allows our paraprofessionals to pursue a teachers license while continuing to work at their job.
Check your state's pathways to licensure first. You may just need to test and certify.
At the time when the union was offering free college I went to Central State University in Ohio completely free and online. Unfortunately, my union this got rid of this free college benefit but check with your union first to see if they offer free college benefits. But there are tons of online options just do a Google search.
You’ll passed it! I’m rooting for you!!
Do you have any type of degree? Almost all programs I looked at, you need to already have your Bachelor's degree. Then you can go through a Transition to Teaching program. All the online programs I found for education did not lead to licensure. Be mindful of that.
I am doing the same thing. Look into different schools you are interested in. Pick the one that feels best for you.
The IN DOE website has a list of approved colleges/university for transition to teaching, BTW. That’s how I got my certification.
This site has lots of individual location ideas for paras moving to teacher certification. There seem to be locations where there are programs in place to help people do exactly what you want to do.

In addition to what it mentions on that site, Idaho will let you start teaching without a bachelor’s as long as you have two years of relevant college coursework already under your belt. You then teach on a probationary license until you finish your bachelor’s. So if you already have an associate’s (paras are required to have/get an associate’s in Idaho) you can actually start teaching right away as long as you’re enrolled to finish a teaching curriculum at a bachelor’s level.
Also, I THINK Arizona allows you to count your para hours as student teaching hours, but I’m a little hazy on that one.
Anyway, you might want to look into local programs where you’re based or state programs if there’s a place you want to move to.
I had a student teacher assigned to me from Western Governors. All of her classes, observations and meetings with her supervisor were online.
WGU has an online education program which charges per term instead of per class. Also…. Philly school district, have a paraprofessional to teacher bridge program. Not sure where you’re located
Many colleges in Indiana offer online schooling. If you have a bachelor degree already look into transition to teaching programs but start online with IDOE to find the programs that are accredited. I went to Taylor University for my Transition to Teaching program and OCU for my Masters. Good luck!

You can inbox me. Go on line or just check the district your working at , there are several paths!
WGU!! I got my El Ed and SpEd degree through them. Would highly recommend! Everything is online except practicum and student teaching.
Concordia University in Irvine has credential and masters programs online that are reasonably priced.

I'm a current para for about 5 years. Just went back to school to get my BS and be a teacher. I'm doing a para to teacher program. I'm able to do all of my interning while working. 90% of it is online, with 1 class a semester at the school.
