Hi, Need some suggestions on career switch. I'm currently working as a firmware developer in Radar SW (2yrs of experience), recently I got a opportunity to switch as pre/post silicon validation engineer at Qualcomm with good package and RSU's. I would like to switch. Any thoughts on my decision? Thanks.

In order:
Turtle Creek
Oak Lawn
Knox
M Streets (if you have a significant other and want a house)
Uptown (maybe)
Anyone saying Addison or frankly anything north of Northwest Highway is giving you bad advice.
Completely agree with SM1. If you don’t have to be driving for a commute and want lots around you, why even bother with Addison / Plano? Live in the city!
Hi! I’m a 31F originally from Chicago, lived in River North and West Loop and recently relocated to Dallas. I’m in Uptown and I’m really liking it. I’m more so on the border of the West Village area, but there’s some nice shopping and restaurants that are walkable and then a few minutes up the 75 is Park Lane shops and a fantastic mall. I’m really liking the area, feel free to DM if you have any questions! 🤗
Uptown a good possibility. Maybe Victory Park.
I live in Turtle Creek and absolutely love it. It’s close to everything, but still a very quiet neighborhood for the most part.
Where will you be working? You'll want something close to wherebyou live... Traffic can be a real Bear... DM me and I'll be happy to assist you....
Then you have a plethora of choices... Frisco and Plano have grown and have amazing updated amenities. Downtown Dallas and downtown Fort Worth have historic and classy nostalgic amenities. Arlington is catching up...
Addison, if you're looking for close to Dallas. It's on the Tollway and 635 has a great vibe and great restaurants clustered together. Otherwise, if you're looking for suburban living close to town, the Mid Cities offer affordable living, restaurants, activities with a bit of serenity. Grapevine has the little town feel but just a 20 minute drive from Dallas. It's ten miles away, right next to DFW Airport and easy access to the highways. Commute can be an issue if you don't have a vehicle and traffic is a nightmare. There are trains, the station is right smack in the middle of town.
