Today, I had my Karat interview for the Lloyd Banking Group (role: Software Engineer). I answered all the questions correctly, and the interviewer also mentioned that it went well. At the end he said that for the further process, HR would contact me. I received an email stating, 'results have been delivered, and your recruiter will contact you soon.'

I tried calling the HR, there was no response. How long should I wait for a response from HR?

Amazon recruiter reached out and wants to know my general compensation expectations before first interview. Very little info available on role but seeing $150k-$250k total compensation reported. Is this too wide of a range to give them?

What are some questions you always ask during your interview? I feel like I need to be asking more.

Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

Currently working at an IRA with great WLB. Honestly I love my job, the firm, and people I work with.

Also doing MBA part time at a T15 school. Thinking about switching to IB but I’ve done my research and I think I would burn out of IB in two years but I might be ok with that for the opportunities after.

I’m seriously enatkng to get into an SE role and have been searching for Associate Sales Engineers that do NOT require SE experience since I’ve none. It’s proving to be difficult. Most companies for some reason are requiring 2-3 years of experience for the Associate role. 😭 Any Sales Engineers who know of companies hiring those with no experience? I am in tech as a BDR already.

Does anyone here work fully remotely? If so, how did you find your position, and did you have to sacrifice or compromise on anything - including salary?

Is the difference between big 4 and MBB in compensation huge at top levels (SM and up)?
