Have about 1 YOE in my current T2 firm. Just received a strategy offer for industry. TC is just about ~$105k for 45 hrs/wk. The industry job has an AMAZING culture, very mission driven, and aligned with what I want to do long term, but potentially with limited career growth. Next year T2 consulting comp is around ~$110k-120k for 60 hrs/wk. Is it too early to exit? Would appreciate any advice from the more experienced fish!

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I was getting regular updates from the hr within one or two days after every interview, however after the 9th round I did not hear back from the hr for two weeks. I followed up with the hr and as per the hr, they are awaiting feedback from the hiring manager what does that mean? Is my candidature got rejected? Background: 33yo, sperm donor, blood work showing diminished ovarian res.

After my first round of blood work Dr is recommending IVF. My partner and I were really hoping to go the IUI route. I’m really only looking to have one child (or rather one full term pregnancy regardless of how many pop out that time). As of right now we aren’t seeing other concerns in my body just the low egg count.

How do you negotiate more PTO after being in a company for two years? I am from overseas, and it takes me a while to travel back and forth. I currently have two weeks of PTO. Any tips are greatly appreciated.

2. Deal Advisory role at one of the Big 4

I was promoted to manager in Jan but received an offer with a 35% salary increase and much cheaper health insurance outside the firm. I am 85% sure I’ll take the offer, but wanted to see if anyone could think of acting I may be missing out on by leaving? FYI my inflation increase was larger than my promotion increase and my student loan payments also were stopped since I’m no longer an SA.
