Recently got a raise (putting me at 68k). Turned down an offer for 75k to stick it out and company said they can’t match. Management sup was laid off. Account director just quit. Need more $$. ADVICE?
Should I have to constanly advocate for myself in order to ensure I'm receiving market comp? About 3 years ago I decided to test the job market and realized I was being paid 20% less than I could get elsewhere. When I told my boss I was quitting they secured me a 30% raise to keep me at the firm. Since then my raises have been pretty meager and looking around it seems like I could get a dramatic raise by leaving. Is this just how things are? How do you ensure you're fairly comped without hopping
I joined Deloitte six months ago as a second year staff and they don't think I can handle the senior role even with me having more than two years experience. EY reached out and offered the promotion if I jump the ship. Eventually I will leave audit but I do want to go through this busy season. Any advice?
Need advice on whether or not to use an MBA consultant. Any opinions / thoughts appreciated! Situation: just turned down a promotion and quit my job because it doesn’t align with my career goals and was becoming a waste of time. Planning on spending the next 10 weeks studying for GMAT and applying for new jobs/volunteering, then applying R2 for 2021. I have a 3.9 GPA in a non-traditional major (French lit) from a “fake Ivy.” Only M7s I’m interested in are Kellogg and Sloan. (Cont.)
What is the typical raise given when moving from an audit associate to a senior associate?
The feedback which we are getting in each cycle in GDS , is it going to help us in getting better hike or promotion? or the hike and promotion depends on our councellor?
I'm pretty happy with my 17% raise and 15% bonus. Tech consulting here. Maybe it's just the advisory folks that are cribbing?
Hi all. Has anyone left the firm for a promotion opportunity especially when your firm didn’t want to promote you? If yes, can you elaborate on your thought process?
Tcs Q4 promotion for ITA out?
Looking to exit tax and switch industry / practice (e.g. data analyst, financial analyst) - is it better to quit as a senior or manager? I am up for manager promotion this year but tbh fed up with tax compliance (international, more specifically) and contemplating a change. I heard that once you become a manager it gets harder to switch practice, is that true?
What percentage raise and bonus should I expect? Staff promoted to senior, got a 4 rating
Reasonable wait time on a Rolex explorer 1? No established relationship with an AD. Would be looking to purchase in the fall after promotion (fingers crossed)
Hi, I am a full stack developer earning 10 lakh and having 4 years of experience.
My manager is making me work 16 hours a day. When I raise this concern, he told you are getting so much money still you are complaining. I didn't argued further.
I just want to ask you guys that 10 lpa is so much high or what?
And please recommend what should I say my boss in response?
Would anyone even notice if I just worked abroad in the EU for a month? Like obviously IT would pick up that the comp is in a different country but otherwise not sure it would raise any red flags/cause issues.
Deloitte offered a lateral move with an almost 0% raise...conflicted on what I should do since it’s a better brand name..currently at AFS
EY recruiter consistently reaching out to me for traded product- risk and capital practice. Had not considered having convos outside of PwC until 1 rating and $500 raise this year. Thoughts?

Any insights into a fair salary plus benefits (equity, bonus) for in house counsel with 7 years total legal experience but only 1.5 in house at a midsized tech company in the ny metro area? Trying to get a gage on both the appropriate ask when im next up for my a raise and also in job interviews what I should be saying my expectations are.
These are my current roles, sometimes I will carry more than one job with me. The most jobs I’ve tracked were approximately 8. With that being said what is the best way to ask for a raise and according to what I do what would be a good hourly rate for me to ask for. They currently have me at 3 rates, stand by rate $18, office / overhead rate $26 and billable to client rate depending on the contract it could range from $28-$48hr plus $100 in per diem or a little more depending on the location.
Adventures in Interviewing: Today we were wrapping up a pretty good interview with a strong potential candidate. When asked if they had any last questions, they said that they had an issue with our Work from Home policy (we’re 100% WFH right now, and will not consider a re-opening strategy until everyone is vaccinated). The candidate declared that they did not believe in vaccines, so we needed to allow her to be a permanent remote hire. I guess I’m glad about the dodged bullet, so there’s that.
Does anyone fly using two airlines? What’s the best way to get status on both? I know this isn’t optimal — my flights are very limited to the client destination so I have to. Currently have silver
Anyone in LA looking for a junior writer??

Thinking about exiting after 1 year out of undergrad. Really hate the WLB so far. Think I’ll get any worthwhile offers? Or do I really need to hold out to get the senior title?
I’ve seen teachers use a Facebook group page as a means for parent communication. Opinions? Thoughts? Should I just stick with Remind?!
Finally gotta go back to the office. Best tech pants or business casual to wear as it’s been almost two years since I’ve stepped foot on client site.

How much do you guys pay your cleaning service (if you have one?) I live in the DC area and was quoted $100 for a one bedroom/den apartment, no matter the frequency. Wondering if that’s reasonable?
I understand everything but have a hard time getting my thoughts into words with confidence. I need a cheat sheet for every meeting/status update. How to improve this? 😪
My B1/B2 visa to the US expires at the end of Feb 2022. If I enter to visit the US in mid Jan 2022 will I get a I94 valid for 6 months or it’s typically upto the visa end date only ? And is there any draw back in staying longer than the visa expiry date but assuming it is within the I94 end date
Anyone ever tried these? Thoughts?
