Wondering what other high paying (6 figure) jobs might be out there that have the same level of intellectual stimulation as consulting without all of the schmoozing and social obligations. Any ideas?

Lawyers. Although they do have to talk to each other a lot and you’d still need a JD...

Been one. It can be interesting but like any other profession too many aholes to deal with

To those with your own firms, what are some good moves to make early in your career? Is it a good idea to get out of a niche practice and work for a small firm to work on more things for smaller companies for learning purposes even if it means a paycut?
Or, is having your own firm even worth it?

I’ve been told my company is changing my title from Associate Director of BD to Sales Executive. I’m concerned it reads like a title demotion. Is it just semantics? How will this look for my career development? Curious about the standard perception of Sales Executive from a seniority perspective. Where does this land on the sales roles hierarchy? For context, it’s a professional services firm, I’ve been there 3+years, and they gave a Sales Executive title to someone who just started 5mo ago.

Debating a role in the c-suite advisory capacity. In general, is it better to have exposure to higher level within the organization for career growth?

I know most of you would appreciate the exposure and opportunity to shine, but I'm worried about risks/failures and mission criticalness/time sensitivity of the role itself. Is it simply just a matter of high risk high reward.

The years of experience are the same, but you have 3 designations (they have 0), you have 3 licenses (they have just 2), they have little to no experience with technical complex claims (you have hundreds), and you have 3 years in management (they have 0).
