Most HRs these days ask for previous salary slips/ bonus/hike letters without even quoting their offer. Should we proceed with what they want? Is it ethical? Any pros/cons

I am thinking beyond just verifying if the candidate is not lying on the current salary but what if they don't even have the budget to what the candidate has asked as expectation.

What do you think are the chances this thing actually goes through? As of today they're still blocking it. It's paused which is fine, but if they don't actually forgive them after February I'll be pissed.

However while concluding second round the interviewer told I will be having client round too. Can somebody assist whats the process , will there be client round after negotiation ?? I have got an addendum letter from Wipro today stating that my date of Joining has been extended by 45 days. My joining was in mid August. I have 2 options to Accept or Reject the addendum.
